Kerri on Mission

About Kerri

My name is Kerri, and
I’m in love with Jesus Christ!

I grew up on a pig farm at the top of Texas where my family was active in church and small town life. I came to know Jesus as my personal Savior when I was eight years old , but it wasn’t until a few years after college that I truly committed to being a disciple of Christ and follow His Lordship in my life.

I felt an urgency to be fully focused on living as a growing disciple of Jesus Christ and sharing His truth with everyone in my sphere of influence. God specifically placed the state of Alaska and her people on my heart through a call to intercessory prayer. In 2013 after working in the corporate world for nearly 15 years, God made it clear that He was calling me into full-time ministry, and in 2016 He brought me to live and minister in Alaska. I am now serving as a support-raised missionary (click to learn more!) in Anchorage, Alaska. My heart is burdened specifically for the young people of Alaska, and God is opening doors to disciple and mentor this demographic here. I am also seeking out ways to minister to marginalized people groups in Alaska, including young adults aging out of the foster care system. There is great brokenness alongside great beauty in Alaska, but God's healing, redemptive hand is at work here!

Other things to note about me... I'm a John Wayne fan, moose make me happy, and mountains are in my blood!

"Remember our God did not say to me, 'I have something greater for you to do.' This life is not greater than the other, but it is different. That is all. For some our Father chooses one, for some He chooses the other, all that matters is that we should be obedient 'unto all meeting of His wishes.' "
